Seven Ways to Conquer Stress at Work
1. Breathe. Inhale deeply, letting your ribcage expand. Then breathe out very slowly.
2. Get a change of scenery. A short walk from your desk can help you gather your thoughts so you can get back to work.
3. Enjoy some humor. Read a favorite comic or recall something funny that happened to you.
4. Squeeze a stress ball or shoot some hoops on a mini basketball hoop.
5. Listen to your favorite relaxing music with your eyes closed.
6. Picture yourself on a beach with waves lapping at the shore, or imagine applause after your fabulous presentation.
7. Write a positive phrase or something funny on a sticky note to make you smile and place somewhere you'll see it daily.
